The Springs, Community Service Charges Reduced

Community service fees in The Springs, Dubai have been reduced in 2010, Emaar Properties has told us. Homeowners there will now pay the new rates of Dh2.03/sqft of plot area which is a 6.5% reduction from last year’s rates. After having revised 2009 costs and 2010 project expenses, The Springs’ developer Emaar decided it was able to reduce the community service fees as a result of some cost-saving initiatives taken, which are; “renegotiations and re-tendering service providers’ contracts to obtain best value, reallocation of resources on-site, efficiencies obtained by use of technology and energy saving programmes” (Bayut news, 15/03/10).
